Born in the verdant valleys of South Wales, Gail immigrated to the United States at age 19. After working as a nanny, she went on to open a small business and later advance in the healthcare industry. All along the way, she made people laugh and feel loved.
As a single mom, Gail faced a number of challenges with grace and fortitude. Nothing was more motivational than having someone tell Mama G she couldn’t do something; she always proved them wrong.
Hopefully, she’ll be able to help you now. Regardless of whether or not you are the recipient of this fund, we hope you’ll feel Mama G's energy and support.

The Scholarship
Mama G always wanted a big family; she adored all of her son's friends as though they were her own children. Perhaps this scholarship is a way of carrying on her incredible love. Mama G would be so proud of the ways that you're making this world a better place to be.
This scholarship partners with The Center Project to celebrate & support LGBTQ+ youth in Mid-Missouri. Gail's son is a Mizzou alum; she loved the community he called home. Each semester, a $500 scholarship will be awarded directly to a community member to assist with their educational fees.
